Animal Morphing- Emotions

Original

This is the original image for all of these photoshops.

Bored

This is the 'bored' cat that I created. I used some of the similar mannerisms of the images of bored people that I loaded onto this blog earlier in the term, trying to get the cat to mirror the humans as much as possible. I think that this is the best of the three, as it didn't end up looking to weird.

Happy

Like the 'bored' cat, the 'happy' cat is also a trial to mirror human behaviour. This photoshop didn't work out as well as I had hoped it would, but I'd say it looks ok.

Sad

This 'sad' cat has the same story behind it as the other photoshops that are ing this post, but I think that it is the worst of the three just by looking at the mouth, it kind of ended up looking like a dog...

Lightening the world

This is a quick photoshop that I did with these images.

It was based on this image.

It's not the best copy possible, but I'd say that it looks ok.

Layers Meanings

layers
Separate "drawing boards" or "canvasses" in a drawing, CAD or image editing program that are overlaid one on top of the other to complete the picture. Layers provide greater control over the illustration or image and offer different functions depending on the application.

Drawing Programs (Vector Graphics)
Computer-aided design (CAD) programs were the first software to provide layers, and advanced illustration programs followed suit. Graphic objects can be placed in separate layers on top of or below other layers, enabling related objects to be worked on as a group without affecting the rest of the drawing. .

Imaging Programs (Bitmapped Graphics)
Layers are available only in advanced imaging programs such as Photoshop, otherwise all editing is done on a single plane. In single-layer paint and image editing software, when a graphic object is added, it replaces the pixels that occupied that same space. Consequently, if the object is removed, it leaves blank space in its stead.

However, in a layered imaging program, objects are placed in separate layers and can be freely moved under and over each other. Objects can always be added, and any object can be removed or changed without affecting the others. The final result is the composite of all layers, which can be "flattened" into one layer for conversion into a JPEG, BMP, GIF or other bitmapped file format. The original image can be maintained in its layered format for future modifications, such as in Photoshop's proprietary PSD format.

What would most embarass this character?: Making a mistake and failing an assignment.

Worst Characteristics: Short tempered

As I said in my character development plan, my avatar Violet is from Limbo, so here's a bit of information about the place.

About Limbo:

The defintiton of limbo- the internet version

1. often Limbo Roman Catholic Church The abode of unbaptized but innocent or righteous souls, as those of infants or virtuous individuals who lived before the coming of Christ.
2. A region or condition of oblivion or neglect: Management kept her promotion in limbo for months.
3. A state or place of confinement.
4. An intermediate place or state.

Word History: Our use of the word limbo to refer to states of oblivion, confinement, or transition is derived from the theological sense of Limbo as a place where souls remain that cannot enter heaven, for example, unbaptized infants. Limbo in Roman Catholic theology is located on the border of Hell, which explains the name chosen for it. The Latin word limbus, having meanings such as "an ornamental border to a fringe" and "a band or girdle," was chosen by Christian theologians of the Middle Ages to denote this border region. English borrowed the word limbus directly, but the form that caught on in English, limbo, first recorded in a work composed around 1378, is from the ablative form of limbus, the form that would be used in expressions such as in limb, "in Limbo."

This is how Limbo is seen and defined by the world....

But then there is my version of Limbo, where Violet is from...

Limbo is pretty much the dimension run by the angelsa and the deamons, and the 'factory' that creates and controls all of the other dimensions in a way.

Before you start judging the deamons, let me tell you about the angels and the deamons in my world...
Angels have that weird skin texture that you can see on Violet, purple skin, white wings, bright blue eyes, a happy outlook on life.
Deamons are very much like the angels, they just have a darker outlook on life, they have black wings instead of white, red skin instead of purple and red eyes instead of blue.

Each dimension homes one of the following species:

-The Non-magicals (Humans/animals/plants)
-The Elementals
-Ghosts
-Vampires
-Werewolves
-Shape Shifters
-Witches and Warlocks
-Pixies
-Mermaids
-Nymphs
-Sirens
-Zombies
-Etc.

The angels are there mainly to make sure that the non-magicals never find out about all of the magicals, due to their excessive greed. All of the other magical creatures know about eachother and are able to travel between dimensions, but there is one main policy, don't let the non-magicals find out about magic.
This has allowed magical creatures to create lives in the non-magical world, but if they let out the secret, then the angels come in and do their job.

There has been a few incidents where humans have found out about the magic, and the angels haven't arrived in time, allowing disasters to happen and 'legends' to be created and passed down, but most magical residents of earth do a really good job of keeping a low profile.

Any magical creature that reveals, or threatens to reveal, the true nature of the magical world to the non magical beings is to be eliminated straight away.

thats generally Limbo, You might have gotten confused halfway... oh well.

My 'Bored Avatar'

My 'Bored Avatar'

Bored- Avatar Split up

This is the Progress of my 'Bored' Avatar. As you can see, I started by adding a texture to her skin, then I changed My shin colour to purple, made her lips red and turned her eyes purple (though you probably can't see it very well.) I then turned her hair red and recreated the t-shirt from her last image.
